2030 North - National Planning Conference
This three-day conference, in June 2009, brought together more than 300 delegates representing indigenous peoples, non-governmental organizations, foundations, business, academia, government of all levels, as well as individuals with a collective interest in the Canadian North. With the objective to develop a Canadian Arctic strategy that would promote and protect Canadian interests in our northern territories and regions, conference participants reviewed five pivotal theme papers commissioned by the Canadian Arctic Resources Committee(CARC).
